Steps for Making First Post in Blogger

After making your blog in blogger. Now, Its time to write your first post you can write your first post in blogger by the following steps.

Step 1: Sign in to your blogger.

Step 2: You will see the following important terms in your blogger dashboard.

New Post
Edit Posts
Comments
Settings
Design
Monetize
Stats

Step 3: Click on the "New Post" You will came to writing mode. You will see two types of writing mode.

(1) Edit HTML
(2) Compose

I choose "Edit HTML" mode Always try to use "Edit HTML" for writing. See the image as below.



Title of the Post: It is very important. Make useful title for SEO purposes. I make unique title for my post as "This is my First Post"

Description of the Post: Write useful description for your first post.

Labels: You can add labels (important keywords) related to your post. For example, I add label "First Post" in my post which is related to my post. Use only that keywords which are related to your post.

Checking Preview: You can check your post preview before posting.

After all these steps click on "Publish Post" Button. Your post will be published. See the blogger message as below.



And you can check you first post by visiting your blog.

I already explain about favicon in blogger. If you want to change blogger favicon then you can change it by the following simple method.

Step 1: Open http://draft.blogger.com/

Step 2: From blogger dashboard, choose your blog for which you want to change favicon.

Step 3: Click on Design.



Step 4: After Clicking on Design you will be redirected to new page i.e. "Add and Arrange Page Elements". At this page on the top just above navbar you will see Favicon Edit Option.



Step 5: Click on Edit and add your .ico file (Add your own logo's favicon.ico file)

Blogger: Blogger is free service provided by Google where you can make your blog at free of cost. Blogger is free hosting service provided by Google.

How To Make Blog in Blogger ?

To making a blog in blogger is very simple process just follow the following steps.

Step 1: You must have Google account for making blog. If you do not have then first make your Google account.

Step 2: Login to blogger with Google account.

Step 3: After login you will be redirected to dashboard of blogger. You will see your dashboard is empty.

Step 4: See the "Create a Blog" option and click on that you will be redirected to a new page.



Step 5: A new page will came with the following options

(a) Choose your blog Title (Choose best and unique blog title for SEO purposes)

(b) Choose a good blog Address (Your blog domain name (URL)) and check availability of this address.

For example, I want to make a blog on topic of "Cars" then I will try to choose keywords related to "Cars" with help of Google Adwords Keyword Tool and I make the blog Title as "Car Info - Detailed Information About all Types of Cars" and I make blog Address as carsinformation (http://carsinformation.blogspot.com) You can also purchase your own domain name If you do not want to see blogspot.com in your blogger address.

Now click on Continue.

This step can be described as follows.



Step 5: After clicking on continue you will further redirected to new page for blogger template selection. Now, Choose a template, I choose template "Simple" (You can change your template) and after choosing template click on Continue.



After clicking Continue, a message will came Your blog has been created!



And you can see your domain name will be open from all over the world.

Now You can write your first post in Blogger.

(a) Search: You will surely familiar about the "Search" button. You can search your query on Google by clicking on this button. Google will show different websites and you can choose website which you like.

(b) I'm Feeling Lucky: I think you will not be familiar with this button. Buy clicking on the button "I'm Feeling Lucky", it will open the first website which came first in Google SERP.

For example: I searched the query "California" and click on the button "I'm Feeling Lucky" and Google open the first website i.e. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California.

With any Query I'm Feeling Button will Show the Following Results

So, Google will open first website of SERP when you click on the I'm Feeling Lucky button.

Without any Query or Empty Query Google will Show the Following Results

If you directly click "I'm Feeling Lucky" button then Google will open Google Doodle Logos

I already discussed about Google Guitar (Google Doodle). Today, Google make new changes in Google Guitar. Now you can record your play. Follow the following steps for recording your play.

Step 1: Open Google Guitar on Google's Home Page.

Step 2: Click on the button as follows.




Record your play with the help of keyboard (Play any interesting song)



Step 3: Click on the stop button



After click on stop button, Google will provide you URL of your recorded play. Enjoy Google Guitar.

Do you want to open .doc file ? and you do not have MS word or Open Office in your personal computer then you can open the .doc file by the following method. This method will also work If your .doc file is corrupted and not opening. Follow the following steps.

Step 1: You must have internet connection for this method.

Step 2: Open your Gmail account (If you do not have Gmail then first create new Gmail ID)

Step 3: Compose mail as follows



Step 4: Attach the .doc file which you want to open or which is corrupted, See the below image.



Step 5: When file attached properly send the file to your own Gmail ID.

Step 6. Now check your Inbox and open the mail which you received from your own email id.

Step 7: You will see two options (a) View (b) Download



Click on "View", the file will be open with the help of Google Docs and read your .doc file.

You can also open Excel File (.XLS) If you do not have MS Excel. Also, Power Presentation File (.PPT) If you do not have MS Power Point. You can also open corrupted .XLS, .PPT, .DOCX, .ODF files by this method.
